PURPOSE OF THE RAPTURE

PURPOSE OF THE RAPTURE My edited version of Amy Van Gerpen’s Study [My Words In Brackets] http://www.trackingbibleprophecy.com/rapture.php#rapture The resurrection of the Church, widely known as the rapture of the Church, is the transition event between the dispensations of Grace and Judgment. The following verses describe this event:  John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53; and Philippians 3:20-21 . What is the purpose of the rapture of the Church? Many believe it is a form of escape from God's Wrath.  While it is true that God has promised that the Church will not be subject to His Wrath ( Romans 5:8-9, 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 & 5:9-10 ), escape from God's Wrath is not the main purpose of the rapture. Think about the horrible persecutions and torture experienced by millions of Christians since the time of Christ. Those stoned to death by unbelieving Jews, torn apart by lions under Nero, or hacked to death by Muslims in this prese...

RAPTURE! TEN VIRGINS!

RAPTURE! TEN VIRGINS! An edited Study by Amy Van Gerpen http://www.trackingbibleprophecy.com/olivet4.php#day My words in [Brackets]. …let's take a look at the first parable to see if it can shed some light on the event of "the day or hour no one knows": Matthew 25:1-13   "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!' Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough f...

GLEANINGS FROM THE FIG TREE

GLEANINGS   FROM   THE   FIG   TREE Edited Study Taken from Amy Van Gerpen http://www.trackingbibleprophecy.com/olivet4.php#fig [words in brackets are mine] Matthew 24:32-33 - "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. ” Jesus had finished answering the question about His Coming, when he switched gears here and began to answer the questions about the signs of the end of the age. The first sign that showed that the end of the age had arrived was the fig tree shooting forth its leaves. The fig tree is one of the last trees to bud in the spring. So when it puts forth leaves, people know that summer is right around the corner. What does the fig tree represent?   Israel ( Hosea 9:10; Isaiah 5:7; Ezekiel 36:8-12; Amos 9:14-15). …the fig tree would represent the nation of Israel...

PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE - GREATEST HERO

On the sixth day of creation God concluded His creating with His masterpiece - us.  He charged us to be stewards over all the animals, name them, be vegetarians, and be "fruitful and increase in number" (Genesis 1:26-30).   Then God called ALL He did very  GOOD .  " God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning --the sixth day." (Genesis 1:31)   This was our past - good.  Humans had a proper relationship with God and creation and each other.  Still in humanity's past is our haunting MISTAKE.   Sometime, maybe even hundreds of years after God gave these charges and introduced them to the Garden of Eden, we believed The Father of Lies and disobeyed God concerning eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.  Because of this encounter and choice, our relationship with God was severed and the element or corruption that help cause this Fall, sin, infected the rest of creation as we...

A SPECIAL MIRACLE

Isn't it a good thing that Jesus being the Son of God does not depend on me recognizing Him as such.  He has been, is, and always will be, the Son of God.  In addition, one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11).  However, when was it in your life that you first really worshiped Him as the Son of God. In reading Matthew, the first time I notice the disciples calling Jesus the Son of God and worshiping Him is when Jesus came to them, walking on the water.  After He and Peter had their little "faith lesson" and they came back into the boat, Matthew 14:33 says, "Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, 'Truly you are the Son of God.' " My inquiry is - why now?  I did a search on the miracles of Jesus in chronological order and walking on water came in at #21!  Immediately before they were on the boat, the disciples experienced the feeding of the 5000 .  An...

ZEUS = LUCIFER

With all the movies coming out recently that pertain to the Greek/Roman Mythology, I thought it rather interesting when I came across this blog today and thought I would share.  With many appreciations to Rob Skiba II! The following information is taken from the e-book series: BABYLON RISING: And The First Shall Be The Last written by Rob Skiba II   http://www.seedtheseries.com/blog/BR206.html To the Greeks, there was no higher deity than Zeus. He ruled supreme in the ancient world for three thousand years! Like Nimrod, he was known by many names . In the far north countries, he was known as Odin. The Egyptians associated him with Amon. The Hindus thought of him as Indra. The Romans knew him as Jupiter and the Assyrians, Medes, Persians and Babylonians appear to have known him as "Bel" or even Jupiter Belus. In fact, some even refer to the Tower of Babel as the Temple of Jupiter Belus . In every case, he was known as the "king of th...
