A PLACE AT THE ROYAL TABLE

Once upon a time, King "David asked, 'Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake?'" (2 Sam. 9:1) David, in memory of his love for Johnathan, hence "for Johnathan's sake", found Mephibosheth. This man was lame in both feet and came from an area called Lo Debar which means No Pasture, No Word. However, because of the "kindness" - translated Grace or unmerited favor here - Mephibosheth was gifted his family's land and servants back, plus a seat at The Royal Table every meal - for Johnathan's sake.

Once upon a time, Father God asked, "Is there anyone still left of Adam's race to whom I can show kindness (Grace) for Christ Jesus' sake?" All of humanity was spiritually lame and could not meet all the requirements stated in The Law for perfection. Everyone came from an enslaved sin market. However, the gift, The Sacrifice of Jesus Christ was and is made available to all - past, present and future. It is for the Sake of Jesus that we have a Godly inheritance. It is for the Sake of Jesus that Father God sent Jesus!

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” (John 17:20-26)

It is for the Sake of Jesus we have A Place At The Royal Table.

P.S. - Let's go invite some others to dinner, eh?
