FOR THE SAKE OF JESUS

From before we were born, The Plan has always been about God; about Him choosing us first (Ephesians 1:5); about Him loving us first (Romans 5:8). God loves us because He cannot contradict Himself - God is love (1 John 4:8). His love for us has never been about us earning it or receiving it as a reward. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) And God's grace, His gifts keep flowing for eternity after making Him your personal Lord and Savior. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17)

God's perfect earthly representation of His love was and is Jesus Christ. Our healing is for His glory. Our deliverance is to His credit. Our advantages in life are arranged by Him and we should praise Him for them. Christ paid such a high price not to receive All the honor, glory and praise. For Christ's sake Father God works on our behalf because we love Him and recognize He has a plan for our lives. I am sure you can hear Paul telling the Roman believers now - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

Notice this verse says, "in all things", not just a certain category of life that God works. Second, observe who "works...in all things" - "God". The verse does not name Paul, Matthew, Mark or any other disciple or well known Christian. God Himself will work "for the good" of those who love Him and whose direction is upon their lives - "called according to his purpose". His favor follows these people and not because of who they are or what they have done, but because of what Christ has done and who He is - For The Sake Of Jesus.
