STANDING FIRM

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. Resist him [the devil], standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.

You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have.
